Hyderabad was treated to a classic Mohammed Siraj performance on Sunday night. The Gujarat Titans pacer, affectionately called ¡°Miyan¡± by fans, tore through the Sunrisers Hyderabad with a brilliant four-wicket spell that also saw Siraj cross a major personal milestone: 100 wickets in the IPL.
Opening the bowling at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Siraj came out firing. He set his target right away by removing dangerous opener Travis Head early and then followed it up by sending back Abhishek Sharma, which was also his 100th wicket of the IPL.
He wasn¡¯t done yet. Siraj returned later in the innings to take out Heinrich Klaasen and Washington Sundar, wrapping up with impressive figures of 4 for 17.
Siraj¡¯s 100th IPL wicket couldn¡¯t have come on a more fitting stage. Bowling in the city where he grew up, for a franchise that once gave him his first IPL cap, SRH, he reached the triple digits against his former team.
Social media lit up with celebration, with Gujarat Titans' official handle celebrating the incredible feat.
"Siraj's success feels personal, man; it was Kohli who gave him back-to-back chances, backed him and made him one of the best bowlers in the country," one X user wrote.
A second user wrote, "So good for Siraj taking wickets with the new ball, also what's something to take away is to give your main options breaks from time to time. Had Siraj been playing, he wouldn't get the time to work on his game. Manage workload and we have more hope for Miyan Magic!"
?A third X user commented, "Never seen Siraj bowl like this in IPL before. Brother bowling every over like he's gotta prove something to someone."

After spending years as a key player for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Siraj was picked up by Gujarat Titans ahead of the 2025 season, and he¡¯s already proving to be one of the smartest acquisitions of the tournament.
Just a week ago, he dismantled his old RCB teammates with a stunning 3/19 performance and was named Player of the Match.
