A customer who had lied and claimed she hadn't received her order was later confronted by an irate food delivery driver who had driven back.
Users of TikTok have come out in defence of Yung Tuci after he recorded himself conversing with a woman at her place of work when she complained that the food hadn't arrived. Here's what happened when he confronted the woman:
Yung Tuci goes by the online handle @yungtuci.He was informed that his job had been jeopardised by his apparent attempt to obtain "free food," but he claimed that he delivered the food and the woman even received?the order. According to the Daily Star, a video of the incident involving a DoorDash delivery in the US has now amassed more than 18 million views on TikTok.?
A technology company called DoorDash connects local customers with nearby restaurants for delivery services made possible by independent contractors, much like Zomato and Swiggy in India.?
The question "So, you didn't get the DoorDash order from earlier?" is asked by Tuci in the video, to which she responds, "I have no idea what you're talking about."?
The receptionist even saw you with the food, and you guys have cameras here, he said, gesturing in her direction. He then queries: "So, why does it say that the customer says that the order never arrived?" after she goes on to claim that she "didn't" report that the order never arrived.?He asks, "Are you just trying to get free food and put my job on the line?" when she repeats that she is unsure.
Tuci continues by saying that because of her assertion that the food was never delivered, he has been charged with a "contract?violation," and as a result, his "job is in danger." She then goes on to state that although she did receive the?order, she didn't request a refund.?
Tuci also included the following statement in the caption: "Had to end up telling her if she doesn't call support before the end of the day and get the violation removed, her job is on the line next. Also pay close attention to how often she switches between initially having no idea what I'm talking about and then openly acknowledging that the order has arrived. [sic]"
As per online reports, a TikTok user wrote: "She did and is embarrassed you actually came back all on video." Others praised the delivery driver for confronting the?woman about the missing food claim.
Another person said, "Normalise calling people out." A third person remarked, "I'm so glad you did this."
