Less than a day after an angry 26-year-old man reportedly set a showroom on fire in Karnataka comes this post of another frustrated Ola customer issuing a warning to others planning to buy an e-scooter from the company. In the post made today on the platform,?X user @Nisha_gowru shared a photo of the placard she placed on her Ola e-scooter warning others from buying one.

In a recent incident,?a 26-year-old youth was arrested after allegedly setting fire to an Ola Electric showroom. The incident took place in Karnataka and the man is said to have been upset over the?quality of servicing given his e-scooter was newly purchased. One claim the company has made is that it is India's leading e-scooter manufacturer but recent incidents have proven otherwise.?
In a post shared on X on September 12, user @Nisha_gowru wrote, ¡°Ola ???????? ????? ???? ???? ¡°I will Be Spreading Awareness Against Ola Electric ???Thanks For The Idea @UppinaKai Sir ? #DontBuyOla#OlaElectric,"?roughly translating to "If you buy Ola, your life is going to be hard. I will be spreading awareness against Ola Electric."
Alongside the post, she attached an image showing the warning on a placard she placed on her "useless.two-wheeler." The warning read:?¡°Dear Kannadigas, Ola is a useless two-wheeler. If you buy one, it only makes your life hard. Please do not buy an Ola Electric scooter.¡± She signed the note "a frustrated Ola customer." While it's not clear why Nisha put up the placard, her post did resonate with countless others who have been inconvenienced by the company.
But Ola facing backlash for subpar services is nothing new. There have been many instances of customers receiving cabs or autos in poor condition, a fact only made worse by rude drivers. The most recent such case involved two women who had double-booked Ola auto-rickshaws. When both turned up, the other driver allegedly confronted the woman, slapped her and tried to snatch her phone. It's high time Ola took a long, hard look at the customer side of its business.
