The death of a 34-year-old engineer in Bengaluru has caused outrage on social media. Atul Subhash, who made a 90-minute video about his struggle and left a 24-page suicide note, accused his divorced wife and her family of harassment. He also blamed Reeta Kaushik, a family court judge in Jaunpur, for pushing him to take this extreme measure. Netizens have mobilized online, demanding justice for Subhash and pressing Accenture, where his wife works, to terminate her employment.
A person named Akshit Singh tagged Accenture on X (previously known as Twitter) and stated,?※Dear Accenture, you have 24 hours to fire the murderer of Atul Subhash. Your time starts now."
Journalist Nupur J Sharma wrote in a post, ※# She shouldn*t be fired. The wife should be arrested and thrown in jail. The judge who sat by and laughed, mocked and refused to deliver justice should be prosecuted and impeached. What is wrong with women downplaying the death of Atul Subhash?"?
In response to several calls to terminate Atul Subhash's wife, Accenture has made their X account private.? ??
Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against Subhash's wife Nikita Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, brother Anurag Singhania, and uncle Sushil Singhania based on a complaint filed by his brother Bikas Kumar under sections 108 and 3(5) of the BNS.
