The lockdown has been difficult for humans but it has also been difficult for strays who relied on people to give them food. However, even during the time of the pandemic there have been volunteers and NGOs taking care of strays and rescuing those in need. But not everyone seems to appreciate the effort such sefless people put in.
According to recent reports, some people in Delhi allegedly beat up dog rescuers.?
The video of a woman with bloodied clothes and face mask is going viral on Instagram. It was shared by a user sairaj_shetty08?with the caption, ¡®Hello Everybody. This is to inform you that Ayesha Christina with 3 more were beaten by some people in Rani Bagh area while they were rescuing dogs¡¯.
The video starts with the woman, named Ayesha, covered in blood, informing that she is standing in Azadpur Police station. She narrates how she and her team were rescuing dogs when someone came to them and 'spoke badly'. When they decided to stand up for themselves, they were allegedly beaten up. She goes on to show the state of her friends in the video named Vipin, Abhishek and Deepak. Their clothes appear torn from places. Then she shows the car the front of which is completely smashed.?
Then she shows the police officials seated inside rooms. ¡°This is how seriously we are taken¡±, she says in the video.??

According to the post, Ayesha and team are getting medical treatment at Babu jagjivan ram hospital.?Another Instagram account, gooddot, points out that Ayesha and her team run the website neighbourhoodwoof.org. Photos and videos on their Instagram page show people rescuing and taking care of dogs.?
What happen with Ayesha and her team is horrible and strict action should be taken against those responsible for harming them.?
