BBC journalist Stephen McDonell posted a video showing the window cleaners swinging from one end to the other as powerful winds swept over the gloomy sky.?

This occurrence occurred on May 30.Stephen McDonell captioned this scary video, "Think yourself lucky you're not a window cleaner on Beijing's CCTV tower."
"They were dangling on ropes swinging through the air this afternoon after a flash storm hit." While it is likely that the window cleaners were safe throughout the storm's brief duration, the scene itself was frightening.?
In a subsequent post, the Chinese journalist said, "The funny thing was that that sudden storm which brought down trees across Beijing yesterday was gone in around 15 minutes and the sky became blue."?
He complemented the message with a snapshot of a clear blue sky over Beijing's cityscape.
An X user commented on the aforementioned video, writing, "Quite a startling video." Anyone who has travelled throughout Asia has witnessed the incredibly difficult and dangerous conditions that many workers on major projects must endure."?
Someone commented on the CCTV Headquarters building depicted in the film, writing, "The locals refer to Beijing's CCTV headquarters as the big pants building." It has a double connotation. One is for the building's exterior, and the other refers to the people who work there."?
