The coronavirus pandemic is claiming lives all over the world and an Indian dentist in Kuwait is the latest casualty, claim reports. Dr Vasudeva Rao was a dentist living in Kuwait for the last 15 years and succumbed to the infection on Saturday.
According to Gulf News, the 54-year-old is the country's second medical professional who has died to a coronavirus infection. Dr Rao worked as an endodontist at Kuwait Oil Company and was a member of Indian Dentists' Alliance in Kuwait. The organisation is mourning his loss after Egyptian ENT specialist Tareq Hussian Mokheimer became the first medical fatality of the virus.
Medical workers are at the highest risk of contracting the infection since they are at the frontlines of this battle. Earlier, Indian-origin virologist Gita Ramjee had passed away due to contracting the infection in South Africa.
Kuwait has reported?58 deaths and 8,688 cases due to Covid-19.
