Police in Las Vegas, U.S., found more than 100 kg of cocaine worth $10.5 million hidden among a truckload of tomatoes thanks to a sniffer dog.?
Detectives had initially stopped the truck for erratic driving around 2:30 am local time on Friday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan?Police?Department said in a post on?Facebook.??
¡°The nervous driver had a story that didn¡¯t add up,¡± the department said. This is when officers called a K9 named Nuggetz, who alerted them to the presence of drugs.
"LVMPD K9 Nuggetz indicated a positive alert for drugs which led to a search. Among the load of tomatoes, we found 230 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $10.5 million dollars," they said on the post.?
The driver and a passenger ¡ª identified as Nanak Singh and Chandra Prakash ¡ª were arrested and booked on charges of trafficking a controlled, Newsweek reported.?
