It is shameful to know that as people are working day and night to ensure that this pandemic becomes a bad memory for the world soon enough, others are investing their time and money into making things worse for everyone.
An extremely disturbing discovery has been made in a hospital Meerut, from where a video has surfaced. The clip shows the staff of a private hospital in the city, promising COVID-19 negative reports from the district hospital in exchange for money. Meerut chief medical officer ordered a probe while a case has been filed against the hospital's owners. The hospital's license has also been suspended by the district magistrate.

Given the fact that the world is running out medical equipment as health facilities are crumbling due to the impact of the highly contagious virus, taking away an entire hospital's license might create problems for the people who need medical attention.
However, it is extremely important to weed out any corrupt person who is taking advantage of the situation and making money off people in times of desperate needs.?

The video shows a group of people talking to the hospital staff and requesting for a negative COVID-19 test report (from the district hospital), so that they ¡°don¡¯t face any problem for at least a week¡±. The video shows the ¡°clients¡± handing over Rs 2,000 to the hospital manager and promising to pay the remaining Rs 500 when the report arrives.

CMO Dr Raj Kumar said, ¡°An inquiry has been set up into the matter. From the video, it has emerged that the hospital¡¯s manager Shah Alam is promising people a fake COVID-19 negative report in exchange for money. A case has been filed against him. Meanwhile, an inquiry has also been set up to find out if somebody from the district hospital was hand in glove with him."?

District magistrate Anil Dhingra has ordered the cancellation of the hospital¡¯s licence.
One can only imagine how devastating the repercussions of such an act can be. At a time when we should be extra careful and responsible, some people cannot think beyond making a few extra bucks - that too at a?disastrous cost.
