A bone-chilling video has recently stirred unrest on the internet. The video captured on a car¡¯s dashcam in Malaysia shows the exact terrifying moment a private jet crashed on a four-lane road while attempting to land at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Malaysia.
It has been confirmed that eight people on board the plane, including two crew members, passed away in the crash. The horrifying incident also claimed the lives of two motorists who were travelling on the highway the plane crashed on.
According to the footage that has been going around on the internet, the plane came crashing down to the ground at an alarming speed and burst into flames, turning into a huge fireball upon impact. Soon, black smoke covered the sky above the blazing wreckage as civilians ran away to safety.
A video also captured visuals of the crash site, where debris from the incident is seen spewed across the roads as housing complexes can be seen in the background of the upsetting scene.
Police who inquired about the scene informed AFP, "For now, I can say at least 10 people were killed in the?plane crash. Two passing motorists¡ªone in a car and one on a motorcycle¡ªalso perished together with the eight on board the plane."
Among the passengers on the private jet who came crashing down to the Malaysian highway and lost their lives, a state assemblyman in charge of housing and the environment in the central Pahang state was identified. It has been confirmed that Johari Harun, the state assemblyman, was part of the grouptravellingg on the private jet.
The incident occurred on Thursday, when the private jet reportedly collided with a motorcycle and a car. The plane crashed on the streets at around 2 p.m. after it had taken off from the northern resort island of Langkawi and was preparing to land at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, west of the capital Kuala Lumpur.
The civil aviation authority chief, Norazman Mahmud, told the press, "No mayday call was made."
