Randy Orton was set to take on Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41 in one of the most talked about matches of the night. This, however, is no longer the case. On the latest episode of SmackDown, KO announced that he won¡¯t be able to compete at the event as he needs to undergo a neck surgery.?
The well-received and highly emotional segment has altered the WWE landscape on the road to WrestleMania 41 as ¡®The Viper¡¯ no longer has an opponent for ¡®The Show of Shows. ¡¯ However, a closer look at it, reveals that WWE may have already subtly confirmed Kevin Owens¡¯ replacement.?
Kevin Owens is set to miss WrestleMania 41 because of an injury. This, however, does not necessarily mean that Randy Orton will be left off the card. On the April 4th episode of SmackDown, the WWE may have planted the seeds for a feud between the veteran and the blue brand¡¯s GM Nick Aldis.
?In case you missed it, tonight¡¯s episode saw Aldis invite Owens to the ring. Following this, ¡®The Prizefighter informed the WWE Universe that he has been asked to go in for a nick surgery at the earliest, which essentially means he will be missing? WrestleMania 4. He also indicated that there is no timeline for his return. Randy Orton soon came out and wished KO a speedy recovery.?
Following this, Aldis reminded him that he has no opponent for WrestleMania 41. This prompted him to deliver an RKO to the GM. In doing so, he may have set up a meeting with him at ¡®Mania 41.?
Nick Aldis is a trained wrestler with an impressive resume. He is best known for his association with TNA where he wrestled as Magnus between 2008 and 2015. As such, he can prove to be a good replacement for Owens. ¡®
WrestleMania 41, meanwhile, promises to be a memorable affair. The card includes the likes of John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Bianca Belair, and LA Knight. WrestleMania 41 will be held in Las Vegas on April 19 and April 20.?
