We might not have found the elixir of immortality yet, but for anyone interested in learning about the secret to living a long life, some sound advice from a centenarian can be a close second.?
Take for instance the woman who after celebrating her 107th birthday last year revealed her secret to a long life was staying single and never marrying. That and a healthy diet and exercise was her formula.
Then there are those who say a positive attitude is enough to get you through life. But how would you react to someone who claims drinking, smoking and not caring about what they eat was their answer to longevity? Seems strange that the things you're told will kill you do the exact opposite.
But 100-year-old Zhang Kemin, from Jinjin in China, sounds pretty convinced that that's what worked in his favour. He added that not getting affected by anything helped too. LadBible reported that booze and cigarettes were his 'biggest passions' in life.?
This comes from someone who started smoking at the age of 20, and still smokes a pack daily. It was only the thought of 'not wanting to cause accidents at work' that made him cut down on alcohol at the age of 90.
"Now I can't figure out whether smoking and drinking are good or bad," LadBible quoted him as saying.?The only signs of mortality, for him, perhaps are his grey hair and a slight difficulty hearing.?
After leaving his home and starting work as a shop apprentice, Kemin eventually became a bookkeeper. Bookkeeping is something he does even today, hence the decision to cut back on alcohol.

A similar story from 2018 will make you wonder if there's any truth here. Fredie Blom who celebrated his 114th birthday two years ago admitted to smoking everyday although he didn't particularly credit that as the reason for making it to the other side of a century, reported Newsweek.
