A couple got a surprise on their anniversary that they will never forget.?
John Wood and his wife had been enjoying a romantic meal at the River Exe Caf¨¦, on the Exe Estuary in Devon, when they looked out the window to see several naked passengers waving at them from another ship.??
Both the husband and the wife were totally shocked to discover that the passing cruise was actually the Torbay Sun Club's annual Nude Cruise, where naturists set off from Exmouth Dock with nothing but their 'personal luggage' (if you know what that means).
John told Devon Live, "My wife and I were having a lovely anniversary dinner at the River Exe caf¨¦ when we caught sight of a boat full of naked people travelling slowly. Reaction in the restaurant was mostly of amusement, and concern for their health as the wind was getting up. Luckily that was the only thing that was!"
These free-thinking naturists are encouraged to socialise and meet like-minded people, while onboard the annual event which sees people strip down in full glory.?
Thankfully, many other diners in the restaurant were surprised by the unusual sighting and some voiced concerns over their safety.??
The Torbay Sun Club hosts this cruise every year. Each year they?embark on the Exmouth ¡®nude cruise¡¯ on a pleasure boat hired from local firm Stuart Line and each year the sight of naked people enjoying the views and partying from the deck gets everyone's attention.?
Apparently, being naked is not illegal, except for where it¡¯s intended to cause alarm or distress. Who would have thought??
What would you have done if saw such a sight??
