People who are scared of flying have a whole list of blinding superstitions and they're willing to do whatever it takes to 'set things right,' more often than, not without a second thought about the consequences. For one, there are too many plane engines in the modern world that have been the victims of 'coin-flingers' searching for good luck.
They believe that it's a prayer for safe flight but it just ends up in an arrest.?

That's what happened to this 66-year-old woman when she thought throwing coins into the plane's engine would be a great idea.
She threw the coins just before boarding the flight; it was later retrieved from the tarmac near the engine. This led to a two-hour delay, all 100 passengers on flight GS6681 departing for Chifeng city were shifted to a different aircraft.
Tianjin Airlines said in a statement on Tuesday said that a crew member alerted the security at around 7:50 am after seeing the woman throwing coins and now she's been detained for 10 days and could face further punishment.
In a similar incident that took place in February, a man named Lu confessed and said it was because of his crippling fear of flying and threw coins in China's 'Lucky Airline'.?
