Pranks on YouTube might be one of the most-watched genres worldwide. YouTubers often get a bad rap thanks to the antics of the prankster community on the platform that take things a little too far. Well, this time it was not the YouTuber who alerted the cops.?
In a bizarre incident in Virginia, USA, a YouTuber who wanted to pull pranks on people at the mall ended up getting shot by a prankee who did not enjoy his jokes. Tanner Cook was filming for his YouTube channel as usual at the mall when his tricks landed him in the intensive care unit.
The incident took place at Dulles Town Center Mall when a tiff between him and a man, identified as Alan Colie, turned sour and the man ended up shooting Cook right in his stomach.?Colie allegedly openly fired at Cook in the middle of the mall.?
Cook spent several days fighting to stay alive after the bullet punctured his stomach and liver. The 31-year-old man was then arrested for the shooting on April 2, while he was still at the mall. Colie was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of firearms in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm inside a building.
Videos of the police tracking the man down and arresting him right in the middle of the mall have been going around the internet. In the clips, the decked-out police officers surround the man and ask him to put his hands up. The cops then apprehend the man¡¯s gun and make the arrest.

According to LADbible, Sheriff Mike Chapman noted that once the fight between the men broke out, the sound of the firearm raised fear and panic at the mall as people hurried to get out of the space.
The injured?YouTuber gave an interview to WUSA9 once he regained consciousness. The 21-year-old revealed that he was going about his day making videos for his YouTube channel, Classified Goons, which has over 40,000 subscribers on the platform.
Cook said, "I was playing a prank and a simple practical joke, and this guy didn't take it very well, and he shot me." One of Cook¡¯s friends was working as a cameraman at the time Colie decided to pull out his gun. The footage of which is now being used as evidence by prosecutors.
Cook recalled the moments before Colie opened fire at him: "He didn¡¯t say anything to me." The content creator later admitted that he had no plans to stop pranking people, even after this harrowing incident.
