Week after week is an interminable wait of what¡¯s going tohappen next since the coronavirusoutbreak. Our lives, for thepast few weeks, have been limited to staying at home, constantly keeping a trackof rising cases in our home countries, frantically reading up about a possiblecure and fearing worst-case scenarios.
When the news is all doom and gloom, it¡¯s hard for even the most?optimistic among us to stay positive. Of course, in this hour of crisis, it is important to know about the?coronavirus outbreak?to protect yourself and those around you but that does not mean we let worrying news seep into our brains.
One thing that we may forget in the midst of this lockdownis the Vitamin N (nature) that it's depriving us all of and for that you don¡¯treally need to go outside. All you need is a window that can bring the outsideinto your view. As suggested by?John dePluma, a reowned internist proponent of food-based health practices," Finda window view or other view designed to induce feelings of deep relaxation, awe, and vitality¡ªit will take you away from your inward-facing world.¡±
To meet this goal some organisations and individuals have setup new hashtags or social media accounts as a way for people to share what theysee through the window. A Facebook group, called 'View from my window,' allowsjust that.
The group description reads, "This group has beencreated to connect people from all around the World during these tough times.#stayhome: CORONAVIRUS Lockdown obliges us to stay home.
Every day, through our windows, we have the same view. Takea photo! only one.
LET'S SHARE IT! Should you see the rooftop of your town, overview a parc, see buildings, the ocean, a tiny street or even the sky, ouridea is for you to share the atmosphere of your daily Life, from BEHIND YOURWINDOW, where you live. (We expect that people will respect the dignity ofothers)."
The group has a simple set of rules: 'No video, no people, no zoom.' Just postthe view you see.
The ¡®View From My Window¡¯ honestly made me a wee bit enviousof those who have jaw-dropping views of abundant greenery, gorgeous sunsets andvibrant house plants. Take a look:?
