A Twitter thread on a woman allegedly facing Islamophobia outside New Delhi Railway Station has stirred quite the debate online.?The tweet is gaining momentum and has raised many questions.?
In the tweet posted by user Noor Mahvish, she spoke about allegedly coming face-to-face with an Islamophobic man outside New Delhi Railway Station. She shared in the tweet that a man sitting outside the railway station told her to go back to Pakistan.?
She wrote: "Today while entering into New Delhi railway station, a person sitting on the stairs shouted on me "Pakistani hai desh se nikalo inko". I was shocked but not surprised, I turn towards him, he again shouted "Pakitani hai Pakistani".Hundreds of people were watching this silently."?
The woman claims that when she heard him, she started recording him and asked him "kya bola." Then the man changed his tone and said "god bless you."?
In the video, the man sitting on the stairs can be heard saying, "Ghar par jaiye." And when the woman asked him about what he'd said earlier, he replied with, "Bohot aa rahe hai, jaa rahe hai."?The women's claims, however, are not part of the video.?
She further wrote, "This made me realise the story of India, the on camera "India is heaven for Muslim" and off camera Muslims are being targeted in every possible way."?
Many people sided with the woman, while others claimed it was a "fake" story.?
A user wrote, "My God and your Allah may save India and Indians from Extremists and hate mongers." Another added, "Well handled sister.but to tackle wd this menace our brothers and sisters must be vocal about our community issues."
Another wrote, "With the heavy heart I have to say this, it¡¯s a fake story dear. Had this been true, you would have called police and wouldn¡¯t have spared him but you chose social media to gain mileage out of it. Anyways, let¡¯s stop this now."
