Recently, Ashneer consented to a roast show conducted by comedian Aashish Solanki. In his series, Pretty Good Roast, the format involves a main guest along with a panel of 4-5 comedians who roast each other.
So far, many guests have already featured in separate episodes including the likes of Huma Qureshi, Aakash Gupta, Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast.?Grover shot for his episode but it didn¡¯t give the best output, as one would have expected. Soon after taping the episode, Ashneer Grover told the comedian to chop his bits from the show.?

Solanki, in a clarification video, stated that he had been requested by the 'Missing Guest' to remove his segment from the 'Pretty Good Roast' episode due to his discomfort with the jokes. Additionally, Grover was offended by the roast.
Solanki stated that the updated video would only show comedians roasting each other, leaving out Grover's parts. While the video isn't on Solanki's official channel anymore, it's available on another channel not linked to any known party.
In the final episode, the beginning features Ashneer¡¯s roast but censors his part out later on. As a part of the opening act, Solanki mocked Grover and said,?
?"He has never done any drugs; he acts the way he does, sober." He then asks Grover to do drugs.
Ever since Grover voiced objection to the show, people on the internet are calling out his unreasonable behaviour. Many have even accused him of not understanding the concept of a ¡®roast¡¯. They said that he cannot take jokes on himself and is too sensitive.?
On the other hand, Aashish Solanki is getting all the praise for making do with whatever was available to him and still managing to maintain humuor.?
An X user shared a clip from the deleted episode, tweeting, "Can¡¯t take simple jokes on yourself?? @Ashneer_Grover?"?
"@Ashneer_Grover not done... you ruined his (Aashish's) whole episode, hard work, money," wrote an X user.?
Another user also tweeted, "This guy, who shows 'aukat' to everyone, running a loss making enterprise and making it a home affair, the way his wife (Madhuri Jain Grover) used to fight on social media, shows what teachings they are giving to the new generation. He got saved due to the extensive money he put in PR!"

Fintech platform BharatPe ousted Ashneer Grover from all roles within the company in March 2022. Subsequently, BharatPe initiated legal proceedings against Ashneer Grover and his family members, alleging embezzlement of funds.
During his roast, Aashish mentioned this incident, but it appeared that Ashneer did not appreciate the joke. In the clip on X, Aashish mentioned that his 'guest' couldn't handle the roast, leading to the removal of his segment from the episode.
Aashish's latest Instagram post hinted at the same. He wrote, "Ep 5 of Pretty Good Roast hata diya hai doston. Legal battle ladne ka paisa nahi hai. Sab show pe laga diya tha (The episode has been removed my friends. I don't have money to fight a legal battle as I used up all of it to create this show)."
Aashish went to write, ¡°The response of previous episodes led us to believe our audiences were ready for roast humour. Previously, Grover has attracted attention for numerous controversial remarks. Most notably, he recently sparked controversy for launching a vehement attack on the RBI following its actions against Paytm for misconduct.
