Royal Enfield enthusiasts have been known to come up with modified versions of the company¡¯s motorcycles. And most times, these customisations turn out to be a thing of beauty. A similar sight was seen at the recently held India Bike Week in Goa. A modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 like none other that cost around Rs 16 lakh!
The modified Interceptor 650 here was created by TNT Motorcycles. Interestingly, the company borrowed its design cues from the Neelkanth bird and hence, has named the motorcycle 'Neelkanth'.
Also showcased during Rider Mania in Goa, the motorcycle was quick to grab eyeballs. The extensive design elements added to it surely limit its use to occasional rides. But if you want to be the talk of the town, this is the motorcycle to have.
As for the modifications, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 called Neelkanth sports 23-inch alloy wheels, a customised headlamp and fuel tank as well as chrome handlebars and engine guards. The bike also dons heavy baggers that basically build the look of the Neelkanth for the motorcycle. Name of the customised bike ¡®Neelkanth¡¯ has been etched on its side body panels.
The Neelkanth has a single seat, with little room for the pillion seat which can be deemed unusable. That is also because of the huge baggers at the rear on both sides. The engine of the motorcycle has not been altered, and in the stock trim produces 47 bhp power and 52 Nm of torque.
The highlight is the price tag associated with such a modification. The Neelkanth reportedly cost around Rs 16 lakh. At that price, one surely begins to wonder whether the modifications are worth spending so much that the alternate at that price would be a 1745cc Harley Davidson Fat Bob that churns out a good 145 Nm of torque and goes from 0 to 60 kmph in a mere 2.45 seconds. Now that¡¯s a tough choice to make, right?
