An advertisement poster of Vimal Elaichi showed actors Ajay Devgn, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar posing together along with the famous tagline 'bolo zubaan kesari' featured on the billboard. When a fan took note of the billboard's picture on Twitter, he criticised the three actors for endorsing the product. However, the Twitter user tagged Suniel Shetty instead of Ajay Devgn in the post.
The tweet read, "Hey #GutkaKingsofIndia @iamsrk @akshaykumar @SunielVShetty your kids has to feel shame on you to lead nation in wrong way. Don't lead India to cancer nation stupids."

The Twitter user then apologised to the actor and wrote that he didn't mean to hurt him. He also wrote that he is a big fan of Suniel Shetty which is why his name always pops up first in the tag list (Should we say, aww?)."

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is the latest addition to the Vimal Elaichi advertisement and the actor faced a lot of heat for the same. He had then issued an apology to all his fans via social media and had declared that he would be donating all of his earnings from the particular endorsement.
Akshay's apology note had read, "I am sorry. I would like to apologise to you, all my fans and well-wishers. Your reaction over the past few days has deeply affected me. While I have not and will not endorse tobacco, I respect the outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with Vimal Elaichi.
"With all humility, I step back. I have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause. The brand might continue airing the ads till the legal duration of the contract that is binding upon me, but I promise to be extremely mindful in making my future choices. In return, I shall forever continue to ask for your love and wishes."
