Daggubatis Are Back! Amid Backlash Over Questionable Content, Rana Naidu Renewed For Season 2
Many raised objections after the release of Rana and Venkatesh Daggubati¡¯s web series Rana Naidu as they felt it had sleazy and obscene content, others couldn¡¯t stop raving about the entertaining plot. A longer debate erupted over the need for censorship even on OTT. Minister of Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur also gave his two cents on the same. He said,

For the longest time, digital platforms had no outside interference in terms of liberty of content, recently, the government has expressed intent to regulate content. Not pin-pointing to this one show in particular but a longer debate has been ongoing over the need for censorship even on OTT. Minister of Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur has also publicly hinted that new regulations will be introduced sooner rather than later.
Coming back to the highly-anticipated show, we will see real life uncle-nephew lock horns once again as the story will progress further in season two.
