Reunited! After 'Aarya', Ankur Bhatia To Turn A Gay Activist Alongside Sushmita Sen In 'Taali'
Ankur plays Sangram Singh Rathore, the half-brother of Aarya Sareen (played by Sushmita), in the crime drama "Aarya."
Ankur Bhatia and Sushmita Sen previously acted together as siblings in the two seasons of the critically acclaimed television series "Aarya," and they are again back together for the biographical drama "Taali."
Ankur will be featured in a risky choice of role as a gay activist in the Ravi Jadhav directed film. His role celebrates inclusivity and diversity.
Talking about his role in the series, Ankur told IANS: "In the show, I play the character of Navin, who is a gay activist, and the biggest supporter of Gauri Sawant, played by Sushmita Sen."

On his reunion with Sushmita, Ankur shared: "It brought me immense happiness and excitement to reunite with Sushmita after 'Aarya', and especially on this kind of a subject that carries such an important message."
"And it was about time that something like this should come out, so people are aware of this. So, I am really thrilled and honoured to be a part of this show," added Ankur.
Sushmita will portray one of the most audacious characters in "Taali" as the transgender activist "Shreegauri Sawant."

Sushmita Sen's most recent appearance at an event shocked her supporters and fans. When wearing a stunning black gown, the diva was promoting a high-end watch company. Her appearance was the talk of social media, and her 'swollen'-looking face scared many.
"What the hell happened to her face?," asked one user. "i was also thinking about may be she's ahving any health issues," another user wrote.
Interestingly, it was only yesterday that the actress shared her feeling about the heart attack. She told News18, ¡°It was a phase and it passed. I am very lucky to be on the other side. It doesn¡¯t make me fearful now, instead I now have a feeling of promise, of something to look forward to. When you get a new lease on life, you respect it and are more careful."
'Taali' will shed light on transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant's persistent pursuit of the recognition of the third gender in India. It was written by Kshitij Patwardhan, produced by Arjun Singgh Baran, Kartk D Nishandar (GSEAMS Production), and Afeefa Nadiadwala.
Ankur, Aishwarya Narkar, Hemangi Kavi, Suvrat Joshi, Krutika Deo, Nitish Rathore, Meenakshi Chugh, and Shaan Kakkar also play significant parts alongside Sushmita.
