Following a string of horrific killings of multiple youngsters, according to the police, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took up the investigation.
The high court cleared Surinder Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher, who were found guilty of rape and murder, due to insufficient evidence, according to NDTV. The prosecution was deemed to have failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt by the supreme court. However, Koli is still serving a life sentence in prison due to his conviction in one particular instance.
