After Vishva Hindu Parishad, Muslim Board Objects To Release Of SRK¡¯s Pathaan, Issues Statement
After a massive uproar by the Hindu community over the colour of Deepika's clothes in Besharam Rang, the Muslim Ulema Board has now raised objections to the release of Pathaan.
What have you done Shah Rukh? Or What has happened to the people asking for Pathaan¡¯s boycott? What are you asking yourself? Tell us in the comment section.
SRK starrer Pathaan¡¯s first song Besharam Rang has really created all the buzz that the film needed ahead of its release on January 25th, 2023. Be it positive or largely negative, the controversy around Deepika Padukone¡¯s clothes in the song has done all the promotions. Well, the uproar continues¡
After Vishva Hindu Parishad objected to Pathaan, Madhya Pradesh¡¯s Ulema Board has shown their red flag to the film.
The president of the Muslim religious Board Syed Anas told the news agency ANI, ¡°The sentiments of the muslims community have been hurt by this film. We will not allow this film to be released, not just in Madhya Pradesh but across the country. The Pathans are one of the most respectable Muslim communities. Not just the Pathans but the entire Muslim community is being defamed in this film.¡±
¡°The name of the film is Pathaan and women are seen performing obscene dances in it. Pathans are being portrayed wrongly in the film. The makers should remove the name, Pathaan. Shah Rukh Khan should change the name of his character. After that, do whatever you want. But we will not allow this film to be released in India. We will fight a legal battle and also file an FIR,¡± adding that they have decided to write to the censor board in this matter.
After BJP¡¯s Narottam Mishra kick-started the entire controversy, another former minister from the party, Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya raised his objections.
Jaibhan Singh told ANI, ¡°I support the statement of the Madhya Pradesh government and the seers of Ayodhya that this film should not be allowed to be released in the state. Anyone, who is devoted to saffron, should boycott this film. Costumes shown in the song have been worn in an obscene manner and worse, the preferred colour of our seers was chosen to tarnish them. We should boycott such films. Boycott is the biggest weapon in a democracy. What message are you trying to convey? Why are you insulting saffron?¡±
Among the defenders, Bigg Boss fame Arshi Khan isn¡¯t able to decode why people are ¡®politicising colours¡¯
She tells India Today, "We need to stop politicising colours and creating communal divides in India. When I wear orange clothes, I'm not thinking about religion, sadhus and sants but how pretty it looks on me. Deepika looks beautiful in that bikini and it suits the song. Also, doesn't the (Madhya Pradesh state) Home Minister have any other priorities for his state? There are bigger issues that need his attention, I'm sure. This should end. It's just a colour."
