The Controversy Continues! Pathaan¡¯s Besharam Rang Faces Rows Of Backlash From Public Figures

Heard the phrase, ¡®Let¡¯s walk the lane where there¡¯s fame¡¯? You must be seeing the same around as more and more public figures are reaching the limelight as they call for a ban on Pathaan. The entire fiasco erupted as a song from this Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer film named Besharam Rang was released.

The song that¡¯s set in a vibrant mood raised eyebrows from some political leaders including BJP¡¯s Narottam Mishra and Congress¡¯ LOP Dr Govind Singh. Now, there are more words of venom weaved in the song¡¯s name. Here¡¯s a thread!

The model said, "I completely agree with Narottam Mishra ji, Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, who upon being asked about Aamir Khan doing Kalash Pooja and Shah Rukh Khan offering prayers to Vaishnodevi Maa, said that people can offer prayers to whomsoever they believe in but at the same time, they must be mindful of other peoples¡¯ beliefs and sentiments."

"Deepika Padukone, the sympathiser of Tukde Tukde gang gyrating in a saffron coloured bikini in a film song titled ¡®Besharam Rang¡¯ is most certainly not acceptable to the millions of Hindus who consider saffron as the colour of purity, faith & devotion," the herself-controversial figure added.

After Madhya Pradesh, several BJP activists from Uttar Pradesh have also called out for a ban on Pathaan.

BJP leader Rajesh Kesarwani said, ¡°Vulgarity with saffron colour was being committed in a song in the movie and it is an insult to the Hindu community and Sanatan culture. Hence, we have expressed our concern.¡±

The Mahant of Ayodhya's Hanuman Garhi Raju Das issued a video message and showed his furious discontent with the song.

He said in Hindi, "Bollywood and Hollywood constantly try to find ways to make fun of Sanatan Dharma and insult Hindu Gods and Goddesses. In the Pathaan movie, Deepika Padukone wore a bikini which hurt the religious sentiments of saints and the entire country.¡±

¡°Shahrukh Khan constantly makes fun of Sanatan Dharma. What was the need to wear a saffron bikini and perform such steps in the song? I appeal to the audience to boycott the film and burn the theatres wherever the film will be screened, adding that the makers of the film should be treated in the same manner," he added.
