Shah Rukh Khan¡¯s Effigy Burnt On Indore Streets, Protesters Call For Banning Release Of Pathaan
Pathaan's latest song Besharam Song has called out for a massive protest in Indore as people took to the streets and burnt the effigy of the film's star cast.
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan is facing an outrage that wasn¡¯t anticipated when the film¡¯s teaser was released. Everything seemed like a Sunday until a few days back when the film¡¯s song Besharam Rang was released. Soon after this, netizens took over the internet to call the song vulgar and whatnot.
It is now that activists of Veer Shivaji Group took to the streets in Indore and protested against the release of Pathaan.
Demanding a ban on this SRK-led film, protestors also burned an effigy of the actor. They hurled slogans that alleged that the content of the song has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community. They stood at a road intersection and shed rows of slapping and hitting at the posters of the film¡¯s star cast. See here:-

Soon after BJP Minister Narottam Mishra raised objections over the song, the President of ¡®Sanskriti Bachao Manch¡¯ also called out SRK.
Chandrashekhar Tiwari said, "This is an insult to our saffron dress, which Sanskruti Bachao Manch will not tolerate. Shahrukh Khan, when Hindus started boycotting your film, you remembered Vaishno devi. Before the release of your film, you are going to Vaishno Devi.¡±
¡°You will have to apologize to all Hindus and remove the song from this film because the people of India made you a superstar. Shahrukh Khan, why are you always degrading your image by doing such acts? You should apologise to all Sanatan Dharma believers," he said as quoted by Outlook.

Actress Payal Rohatgi who was last seen in Kangana Ranaut¡¯s Lock Upp lashed out at people who are calling out to boycott Pathaan.
Payal told Aaj Tak, ¡°We are staying in a democratic country and artists have complete cinematic freedom. If people, especially ministers, are going to comment over such baseless issues, who would take them seriously? There are so many problems in MP which should be the centre of focus not publicising a film based on a colour worm by the actress.¡±
¡°I feel that all the objections raised are absolutely pointless. People are targeting a particular colour which is not right. Deepika¡¯s outfit in the song did not adorn any specific God or even, for that instance, insult them. How can people target anyone because of a particular colour?¡±, she added.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, Pathaan also stars John Abraham and releases on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Other than this film, SRK has Dunki and Jawan in his kitty whereas Deepika will be seen in Project K and Fighter. She recently appeared in a song from Ranveer Singh¡¯s Cirkus.
