No Regional Films For Pankaj Tripathi As He's Not In Favour Of His Dialogues Being Dubbed

Pankaj Tripathi, who has given some phenomenal performances in Bollywood, is considered to be one of the finest actors today. While he made his debut with Run playing a minor character, the actor went on to grab the spotlight with his antagonistic role in the 2012 movie Gangs of Wasseypur.
Now, Pankaj Tripathi, who started his journey in the Hindi film industry with small roles, has now opened up about working in movies or shows made in languages he isn't comfortable with.

The actor further said that he doesn't like the idea of having to speak in a language he is not comfortable with in any movie or web series. "I¡¯m not in favour of my dialogues being mouthed by someone else. My acting and expressions are complemented by my voice. Otherwise my role is incomplete,¡± the 45-year-old actor told the news agency.
During a recent interview, when asked if the actor would like to ever feature in a Bengali film, Pankaj Tripathi told PTI that while he does understand the Bengali language, it's not sufficient for acting.
¡°Ami alpo alpo Bangla jani, bhaloi bujhi kintu bhalo bolte parina (I know a little bit of Bengali and understand fully but can¡¯t speak much). It is not sufficient for portraying a Bengali speaking character,¡± the acclaimed actor said.
Moreover, he added that he would do a regional movie only if he is approached with a storyline that interests him by any of the current crop of talented actors in the industry.
The NSD alumni, who hails from a village in Bihar has also opened up about his wife's Mridula¡¯s Bollywood debut.
Pankaj Tripathi's love story with Mridula began at a wedding back in 1993 when he first saw her. In a recent interview, the doting husband of Mridula, Pankaj Tripathi shared that his wife is finally setting her foot into the Bollywood industry as she will mark her debut with his upcoming film, Sherdil
The actor revealed how his wife Mridula agreed to do a cameo role of a Bengali character without any fees for her work.
"My wife Mridula will be debuting with Sherdil. She has done one scene in the film. Director Srijit Mukerjee, who has a Bengali connection with my wife, asked her to come on the sets and promised to give her one scene. She immediately said yes because she got to wear a beautiful Bengali saree in the film. It was an easy bribe, she didn't even get paid," he said.
