Atal Bihari Vajpayee Was Only Politician Also Respected By Opposition, Says Vinod Bhanushali
Vinod Bhanushali praises Atal Bihari Vajpayee, says the former PM of India was the only politician also respected by the opposition.
After reports of Pankaj Tripathi joining the upcoming biopic film based on the life-journey of the veteran politician, poet and former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee surfaced online, producer Vinod Bhanushali has shared how the film is set to recall, celebrate, and also inspire the coming generation.
As the life of a rare politician and visionary like Vajpayee is going to be portrayed onscreen, Bhanushali says that he was the only politician also loved by his opposition.
According to reports, the new biopic movie on the Ex-PM of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been titled - Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon, Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye: Atal. During an interview, Vinod Bhanushali was asked why he was making a film on a politician when in India people are quite sensitive about their leaders and in their ideologies, to which the producer told IANS, "I think Mr Vajpayee was a personality beyond being a politician."

The producer further said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a visionary and the man who began shaping the new India that it has become today. And that most importantly, with Atal Bihari Vajpayee's in-depth knowledge, sense of humour and poetry, the former Indian PM was also respected by his opposition while he was serving as the Prime Minister of the country.
"That happens rarely. It is important to recall the value that he added to Indian history. We aim to celebrate it through our film," Vinod Bhanushali added during the interview.
Reportedly, makers had officially announced Atal Bihari Vajpayee biopic film based on Ullekh NP's book - The Untold Vajpayee: Politician And Paradox on June 28. Filmmaker Sandeep Singh had also revealed that work on the biopic has already begun.
Reports further suggest that the film is set to go on floors in early 2023. Moreover, Vinod Bhanushali and Sandeep Singh's joint venture along with a few others will have actor Pankaj Tripathi onboard. The actor will portray Atal Bihari Vajpayee's character in the much-awaited film.
Moreover, talking about the Atal Bihari Vajpayee biopic, Bhanushali said that the film will tell an engaging story rather than a political analysis. The producer said, "He was a Hindi kavi too, that is how the narrative flow."
