Abhishek Bachchan Calls 'Bob Biswas' A Cool Film, Believes It To Be Better Than 'Kahaani'

2021 is ending on an exciting note as there is a lineup of several thrilling films. One of them includes Bob Biswas! For the first time, cinema fans are eagerly waiting for the release of a movie based on a spin-off character from a film that released years back.

Nine years after Sujoy Ghosh's 'Kahaani' release, fans are excited to see the new chapter for one of its memorable characters- Bob.

To jog your memory a little, in Kahaani, Bob Biswas, played by Saswata Chatterjee, was the contract killer who went on a killing spree with utmost clinical perfection with no traces left behind.

Eleven years later, Abhishek Bachchan is all geared up to step into the shoes of Bob Biswas. In a recent interview with Indian express, Abhishek Bachchan spoke about Sujoy Ghosh's writing.

Calling the entire world that Ghosh creates with his writing, Bachchan said,

¡°You see, Bob Biswas, and he could be a simple guy next door, he could be travelling next to you on the train, and you won¡¯t know who he is or what he is doing. Sujoy has made that entire world so edgy and cool. My personal opinion after having seen the film is that it is a very cool film. I think the youth of the country is going to enjoy this film."

Describing the movie Bob Biswas as a ¡°crime thriller¡±, the movie is written by Sujoy Ghosh and directed by his daughter Diya Annapurna Ghosh.

Abhishek also claimed that Sujoy Ghosh's daughter had done a better job. He added,

¡°I think our film is better. With all due respect to Sujoy, his daughter (Diya) is better than him.¡±

Abhishek shared that Sujoy shared the film's concept while writing it, and the actor went on to say yes to the role even before hearing the script. Considering how confident Bachchan is about the film, the expectations of the fans are skyrocketing!
