Aditya Pancholi Says 'Had Faith In God & Judiciary' Post Sooraj¡¯s Acquittal In Jiah Khan Case

After a special CBI court in Mumbai acquitted Sooraj Pancholi of abetment charges in the infamous Jiah Khan suicide case, his actor father Aditya Pancholi has shared his feelings during an interview with a leading portal.
The actor said that today was a day of relief as his son walks free.
Aditya Pancholi Reacts To Son's Acquittal In Jiah Khan's Suicide Case
Speaking of his son Sooraj¡¯s acquittal in the long-running Jiah Khan case, Aditya Pancholi told IndiaToday, "We are very grateful to the judiciary, the law of this country and very grateful to God. We all had faith in God and faith in judiciary."
When asked about his feelings on his son being accused of murder, the actor was quoted as saying, ¡°I don¡¯t want to speak on this. Today our family received a very big relief.¡± Aditya thanked everyone in the industry who supported his son.
He said, ¡°We are one industry and we are one family and thank you to everybody who supported us.¡±
Sooraj Pancholi's Staff Distributes Sweets After Verdict
Sooraj, who featured in the film 'The Hero' was accompanied by his mother Zarina Wahab in court during the final verdict in Jiah Khan's suicide case.
After the verdict, Sooraj's staff distributed sweets and the actor thanked the paps waiting to capture him outside his Mumbai residence. However, he refused to make any comment on the court's verdict.
Sooraj Pancholi: 'Pray Nobody Goes Through What I Went Through'
Moreover, Sooraj Pancholi released an official statement after the court declared its verdict in Jiah Khan's case. In his statement, Sooraj said, 'Pray nobody goes through what I went through.' Jiah Khan was found dead in her Mumbai residence in 2013 after which her then-boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested and booked by police on charges of abetment to suicide of Jiah Khan after a letter by the actress revealed their tumultuous relationship.
"The verdict has taken 10 long painful years and sleepless nights, But today I have not only won this case against me but I have also won my dignity and confidence back, it took a lot of courage to face the world with such heinous allegations, I hope and pray to God that nobody goes through what I have gone through at such a young age, I don¡¯t know who will give me these 10 years of my life back to me, but I am glad that this has finally come to an end not only for me but specially for my family. There is nothing bigger than peace in this world," the official statement read as per IndiaToday.
Meanwhile, Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Khan's lawyer has said that they will "appeal in higher court after studying the judgment.¡±
