Akshay Kumar Cries His Heart Out After Listening To Sister's Emotional Raksha Bandhan Message
Tears rolled down Akshay Kumar's face as he listens to sister's Raksha Bandhan message during his film's promotional event.
Akshay Kumar is all set for his movie Raksha Bandhan, which is slated to release on the occasion of the festival on August 11.
Known to be a family man at heart, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar got extremely emotional and teary eyed after viewing a clip of him and his sister Alka during a reality show on Television recently.
Akshay Kumar recently appeared on the TV's singing reality show Superstar Singer for the promotions of his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan.
During the show, a video clip of Akshay Kumar and his sister Alka was played and the clip gave us glimpses of Akshay and Alka's lives and the bond they share with each other.
The video clip was played when two of the show's contestants sang the iconic brother-sister duet from the 1971 film Hare Rama Hare Krishna - 'Phoolon Ka Taron Ka.'
Seeing the video, tears rolled down Akshay Kumar's cheeks. The video also shows the actor speaking of how his sister has changed his and the lives of his family members.
In the clip, Akshay's sister Alka can be heard saying in Punjabi, "Pyaare Raju! I just remembered while chatting with someone that the festival of Rakhi is on August 11," she said and went on to add, "You stood beside me at all times, good and bad. From being a father, friend to a brother, you played all roles for me. Thank you for everything, Raju.¡±
Akshay Kumar, who was surprised when the team of Superstar Singer showed him the special message from his sister Alka, said, "We used to live in a small house, after this 'Devi' (Alka) came, our lives totally changed."
"Jo behen ka rishta hota hai, usse bada rishta koi nhi hai," he added in Hindi while choking multiple times.
Earlier, Akshay Kumar had opened up about what a brother-sister relationship personally means to him.
"It's an amazing bond. Your sister is your best friend. You can keep your head on her shoulders and share everything. She's always there for you. I have rarely heard that the sister is not there for her brother. Sometimes you get to hear the brother is not there but I have never heard that the sister is not there," he told IANS.
"There is no one who can love you more than your sister," the actor added.
