Did you know Karan Johar never thought that John Abraham would make it big in Bollywood? He had thus offered him a very small role of Robbie in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

John had once said, "I used to come to Karan for a lot of advice, then Karan said ¡®I have got a great role for you in K3G which I want to offer you, of Robbie. I was looking out for Robbie in the whole movie, ¡®where¡¯s Robbie, where¡¯s Robbie,¡¯ I couldn¡¯t see Robbie."

No points for guessing, he was absolutely wrong about it.

"When I saw Ranveer Singh a decade ago, I was like 'he doesn't look like a movie star at all, he should not be in the movies'. But when I saw his performance, I was like, 'this boy is a movie star'. He can act. It's the age of the actor, it's the death of the superstar, I believe," Johar had said in 2019.

In fact, he rejected him for Bombay Velvet as his star value wasn't high. "I was not rejected for Bombay Velvet. I was unceremoniously dropped because at the time, I couldn't justify the budget. My star value wasn't as high. But, things have changed," Ranveer Singh had said.
