Chiranjeevi slams Mansoor Ali Khan
After many other clebrities including Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj, singer Chinmayi Sripada and actress Malavika Mohanan, Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to condemn his distasteful comments.
He wrote, "My attention was drawn to some reprehensible comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha. The comments are distasteful and disgusting not just for an Artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest words. They reek of perversion. I stand with Trisha and every woman who has to be subject to such horrid comments."
Trisha thanked the actor for his support.
Meanwhile, Mansoor Ali Khan who is known for his villanious roles has refused to apologise.
In a press conference, he justified his stance and said that he was only talking about rape scenes in movies and that had nothing to do with real life. Furthermore, he has given an ultimatum to South Indian Artistes' Association to withdraw their statement condemning his remark. He said that people should listen to both sides and then take a decision.
"They have committed a Himalayan blunder. I am a lifetime member of the Nadigar Sangam and I am among the senior members. When an issue arises, do you not hear both sides first before arriving at a decision? There was not even a call or a question or a notice to me, asking me to explain my statements. Is this how you run an association?" he asked.
On the other hand, outrage has only growing on social media with many people demanding his arrest and others seeking an apology at the least.
National Commission for Women has also urged Tamil Nadu Police to book the actor-producer-music composer for his comments about actress Trisha Krishnan.

"When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought I would carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes and it¡¯s not new to me. But these guys didn¡¯t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the shoot in Kashmir."
