Dubai Authorities Close Sridevi's Case, Her Mortal Remains Handed Over To The Family
Sridevi Kapoor passed away on Saturday night due to accidental drowning. Dubai authorities confirm there was no criminal activity involved in her death case. Despite Boney Kapoors presence in Dubai Sridevis nephew Saurabh Malhotra was present along with an Indian Consulate outside Dubai morgue.
Sridevi was a legend. She was India's first female superstar and she was looking forward to her daughter Jhanvi's debut in Bollywood. The actress, who was in Dubai to attend Mohit Marwah, her nephew's wedding, passed away on Saturday night due to accidental drowning.
Latest reports from Dubai authorities confirm there was no criminal activity involved and there was no foul play in her death case. Despite Boney Kapoor's presence in Dubai, Sridevi's nephew Saurabh Malhotra was present along with an Indian Consulate outside Dubai morgue to receive the body.
In a couple of tweets, the Dubai Media Office Said: "The Public Prosecutor's Office: The decision to release the body came after all the investigations and procedural matters followed in such incidents were completed, in order to determine all its circumstances and ensure that justice was done within the framework of the law. The medical report showed that the death of Indian actress Sridevi Kapoor came as a result of her drowning in her hotel room after losing consciousness."

Letters for release have now been given and the body has been to the family after embalming. Embalming is the process of preserving the human body after death to delay decomposition.
Sridevi's body will soon be flown back to Mumbai around 6 PM and the funeral may take place late evening. Sridevi's step son Arjun Kapoor is also in Dubai currently to take care of the paper work along with his father.
