Do you know he used to own a juice stall called Kulukki Hub in Mangaluru, Karnataka? The 24-year-old wanted to study hotel management. However, because of financial constraints, he had to change the course and head on to a different path. Later, he decided to turn his love for food into business and opened a juice stall. His artistic abilities through original dishes left his customers delighted.
Sole breadwinner of the family
He is the only earning member of his family. On winning the show, he said, "I am immensely grateful for the whirlwind journey I¡¯ve had on MasterChef India. He also thanked the judges for pushing him to best of his abilities. "I owe immense gratitude to the judges- Chef Vikas, Ranveer, and Pooja, fellow contestants, the audience, and all the renowned chefs who pushed me to perform better with each passing day in the kitchen. I've grown significantly and noticed a remarkable shift in my cooking skills, all thanks to an incredible boot camp experience," he was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.
Congratulating him judge and Chef Ranveer Brar wrote on Instagram, "From an inspirational start to a challenging journey, you never stopped daring for more. Congratulations on becoming the MasterChef Mohd. Ashiq!"
