Indian Idol 13 Winner Rishi Singh addresses claims of his adoption story being planned on TV; says it's the truth of my life.
Indian Idol 13 concluded this weekend with Ayodhya¡¯s Rishi Singh emerging as this season¡¯s winner. Singh was awarded a Rs 25 lakh cash prize and a car. Tagging behind him were Debosmita Roy and Chirag Kotwal as the first and second runner-ups. In a recent interview, Rishi addressed his adoption saga.

Rishi reportedly got to know about him being adopted during the course of the show itself.
This drew him a series of flak claiming the drama was pre-planned. When asked about it, the 21-year-old told Indian Express, ¡°Of course, it was big news for me and I was taken aback. I think what was most important was that I accepted the truth. That was the only way I could lead a harmonious life with my parents. Also, I think everyone has seen the bond that we share.¡±
Another story rife in town was Rishi¡¯s closeness with co-contestant Bidipta Chakraborty. Dismissing rumours of any love affair, Rishi clarified, ¡°We are really close friends. Also, people liked our chemistry and bond and this is why we got to perform on so many romantic duets. And I am so glad just because of what people assume, we never let it affect our friendship.¡±

Reacting to that, Singh exclaimed, ¡°Honestly, it feels unreal to me¡±. ¡°Sometimes in the middle of nowhere, this thought comes up. What have I done to get so much love? How is it possible that this star cricketer noticed me? It¡¯s all a dream and I cannot tell you how beautiful it is,¡± he shared.
Hosted by Aditya Narayan, the singing reality show¡¯s 13th edition was judged by Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya.
Rishi also talked about his big win in the same interview and shared, ¡°The competition was really tough and I really had no idea I could win the show. I am so thankful to everyone who voted for me. It is because of them that I am standing with the trophy. Of course, this victory means a lot to me but this love is way more special to me. I have been blessed by the almighty with this talent, and I knew he will take me ahead.¡±
