¡®Is this a new trend?¡¯: Welcome actor Mushtaq Khan's kidnapping incident raises eyebrows online
After comedian Sunil Pal, actor Mushtaq Khan revealed that he was kidnapped. After the news broke and the actor's statement went viral, people on the internet began to wonder if this kidnapping is a new trend or a marketing stratergy.
After comedian Sunil Pail, Welcome actor Mushtaq Khan was kidnapped recently under the false pretense of being invited to an event. Mushtaq was invited to an award show in Meerut on November 20, according to his business colleague Shivam Yadav. He even received an advance payment, which was credited to his account and used to purchase airline tickets. After being requested to get into a car upon his arrival in Delhi, he was quickly taken to the city's outskirts, reportedly close to Bijnor.
Shivam Yadav told India Today Digital, "Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken over what happened to him. However, he was always sure that he would file an FIR after he composed himself. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor and filed an official FIR. We have proof of the flight ticket, the bank accounts and even CCTV footage near the airport. He also recognises the neigbhourhood, even the house where he was kept. I think the police team will surely get the culprits soon."
