On Wednesday, the Friends stars turned to Instagram to share poignant memories and pay tribute to their co-star and dear friend, who passed away at the age of 54 on October 28th.
Jennifer, portraying the character Rachel Green in the acclaimed show, started her post with, "Oh boy, this one has cut deep... Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I've never experienced before."
She added, "We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love"
Sharing her deep feelings of loss, Aniston wrote, "Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply,"

Jennifer commended Matthew for his knack for bringing laughter and posted a nostalgic black-and-white throwback photo of herself laughing at one of his jokes.
She disclosed that the actor unexpectedly sent her the picture, accompanied by a thoughtful text, one day.

After sharing the screenshot of the text message, the actress uploaded an emotional clip from Friends featuring Matthew's character, Chandler, expressing love and bidding farewell to Rachel as she prepares to move to Paris.
