John Abraham called 'arrogant' as he angrily slams a journalist and calls him an 'idiot'
John Abraham stirred controversy at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Vedaa when he responded sharply to a journalist's question. As John cautioned journalists against creating controversies, fans feel he was being arrogant.
John Abraham launched the trailer of his forthcoming film Vedaa, which also stars Sharvaari Wagh and Abhishek Banerjee and is directed by Nikkhil Advani. At the event, he answers several questions from journalists. However, one of the questions seemingly irked the actor. He did answer the question but later he also warned all the reporters to not create controversy with him. Here's what happened.
John Abraham gives a befitting reply to a journalist
It all started after one of the reporters asked him, "First of all congratulations. The trailer of Vedaa is really nice. But you have been doing films like Satyamev Jayate, Pathaan, etc. You have been doing similar kinds of roles. Sir, bring something new."
At this John Abraham called out the journalist for making an opinion without even watching the movie. "Have you seen the film? Can I call out bad questions as idiots?" he asked.
He added, "This film is different. As for me, it's a very intense performance. You have not even watched the film, you have just watched the trailer. Please watch the film and then judge. And then I'm all yours, whatever you say."
John Abraham warned journalists not to create controversy
Furthermore, warning the journalists to not create controversy in a fun interaction, he asked them to not record this. "I have come for a question and answer round with you guys after a long time. Let me breathe a little, don't record everything. I have seen everyone's face, I watch everyone. No controversy please. No controversy with me."
Fans however felt John was being arrogant.
"Ready for the downvotes but Cardboard Abraham has not given a single expression in his entire career so what intense performance is he talking about and No Smoking works only because of Kashyap, he fits the role because he had to be his arrogant self in it," one of the Reddit users wrote.

Another one said, "Journalist calls out in a very constructive manner, based on his (and audience) perception that his recent movies are more action driven and in similar tone. Even empathically request ¡®kuch naya laiyen na sir..¡¯ as if he is a true fan and a well wishes... Instead of taking it constructively, the ¡®star¡¯ decides to call him idiot, labels it as a bad question, even low-key threatens him for a beat down!"

Another fan said, "Why the f**k does he think he can call someone an idiot? Imagine if the journalist had called him back. Dumb ppl just playing out their privilege and power." Calling him arrogant, another user said, "He thinks he is being sassy or cool or something but he is just being an IDIOT. Always found him too arrogant and hated his "acting" where all he does is pose with a crooked smile to show off his dimples."
