Congress Has Reportedly Vowed To Not Let Kangana Ranaut Enter Prayagraj, Calls Her 'BJP Agent'
If reports are to be believed, Kangana Ranaut will be visiting Prayagraj, the birthplace of Gandhi, to research for her film. This has led to a war of words between Congress and BJP.
It's has been quite a long since Kangana Ranaut announced her film on Indira Gandhi titled Emergency. The actress is not only directing the film based on the time of Emergency in India imposed in 1975, but she will also star in the lead role.
If reports are to be believed, Kangana Ranaut will be visiting Prayagraj, the birthplace of Gandhi, to research for her film. This has led to a war of words between Congress and BJP.
While Congress has declared that they won't let Ranaut come to Prayagraj claiming that the "BJP agent" is trying to malign the image of the Indira Gandhi, who laid her life for the country¡¯s pride, BJP has extended her support and stated that no one can stop her from entering Prayagraj, especially under the rule of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
As per a report on CNN News 18, Hasib Ahmed, who is Congress' district president of Prayagraj, has claimed that Kangana is trying to malign the image of Indira Gandhi. BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi, according to the publication, said that Congress gets rattled even at the slightest mention of Emergency.
Kangana is expected to visit Prayagraj around August 25.
