Kangana Ranaut is getting backlash for joining hands with Ekta Kapoor for Lock Upp. The actress says nepotism was never my problem.
Kangana Ranaut who is making waves because of her forthcoming reality television show Lock Upp is also getting backlash for collaborating with Ekta Kapoor -- who is hailed as the Czarina of Indian television -- for the same.
Kangana who is quite vocal about nepotism once again mentioned the N-word in the first teaser released for the show. Fans were quick to point out how the one lashing at nepotism has herself joined hands with Jeetendra's daughter.
Does kangana not see ekta as a product of nepotism? Is she not nepo kid?

Responding to the criticism, Kangana Ranaut shared a clip of her interview on Instagram stories, wherein she said that nepotism was never her problem.

Here's what she said:
"Nepotism was never my problem. The problem was ganging up on outsiders because of nepotism. There is a difference. If you are doing your job quietly, no problem. But to say 'ye outsider hain, ye yaha nahi hone chahiye because ye humare baap dada ki jagah hai, isn¡¯t it wrong? Ekta has never been a part of a bully gang, that I can assure you (sic)."
In Lock Upp, 16 celebrity contestants will be locked up inside the jail and will fight for basic amenities. Kangana Ranaut will be a strict jailor and everyone will have to follow her rules.
Who will be the participants?
As per reports, Shehnaaz Gill, Vikas Gupta, Priyank Sharma and Poonam Pandey will be seen in the show.
Fans also think comedian Munawar Faruqui is also one of the contestants on the show after the release of this teaser.
