"But I just have one request, you have to bury me. I cannot bury you, no father should bury his child," singer Adnan Sami's father told him.
Singer Adnan Sami's massive transformation has often been questioned by people.
The singer who lost 130 kgs a few years ago, has shared how people thought he had gone under the knife to look slimmer and shed those extra kilos. While many assumed Adnan Sami lost weight through 'Liposuction', others thought that the singer adopted a rigorous diet and exercise routine.
In an interview, 'Tera Chehra' crooner Adnan Sami shared how he lost all those extra kilos without any surgery. ¡°There is a tremendous question mark on how I lose weight," the ¡®Lift Kara De¡¯ singer was quoted as saying by Indian Express.
¡°People thought, ¡®inhone surgery karvayi, Liposuction karvaya¡¯ (he got some surgery, he got liposuction) None of it was done by any kind of surgical interference,¡± he added as per the media outlet.
Adnan Sami, who often faces people's ire over his remarks on social media took a break from professional work to focus on his deteriorating health. The singer flew to the US to start his transformation journey after a doctor gave him a six-month ultimatum.
"I was 230 kgs and the doctor in London gave me an ultimatum. He told me the way you are leading your life, I wouldn¡¯t be surprised if your parents find you dead in a hotel room in six months," the singer recalled.
The singer also went on to reveal that his father was listening to the entire conversation between him and the doctor.
"That evening he had a very emotional conversation with me. He said, I have been through everything that you had to endure. I have been with you through thick and thin. I have always held your hand and have never asked you for anything. But I just have one request, you have to bury me. I cannot bury you, no father should bury his child," Adnan Sami said during the interview as quoted by the media outlet.
Meanwhile, Adnan Sami, who has lent his voice to several Bollywood songs was honoured with the Padma Shri. However, many opposed the idea including the Mumbai Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik, who believed conferring the Padma Shri to Sami was an insult.
Even Praveen Togadia, the National President of Antar Rashtriya Hindu Parishad, had reportedly said that it is an insult to India¡¯s martyrs as Adnan Sami¡¯s father served in Pakistan's Air Force.
