Looking back at his past deeds in the popular MTV show, Nikhil Chinapa recently opened up about the audition in which he mimicked an ¡®angry gorilla.¡¯
As the angry gorilla audition went viral recently, Nikhi has expressed that at times he is shocked by people as they take the incidents in the show seriously. Roadies judge Nikhil slapped Nihal across his face at the time and left the entire crew shocked.
According to Indian Express, after getting the meme treatment recently, Nikhil was asked to give his opinion about it while appearing on the podcast 'Untriggered with Aminjaz.'
"In the past, we¡¯ve made some mistakes. As times have changed, we¡¯ve looked at some of the interviews and said, ¡®Maybe that wasn¡¯t appropriate considering how we¡¯ve evolved as people¡¯," Nikhi said reflecting on the incidents.
Nikhil said that since Roadies was a Hindi show, not too many people from the South came to audition for it.
However, contestant Nihal, who featured in season five was an exception. Both judges Nikhil and Raghu Ram felt that Nihal was hiding in his shell during the audition, which is why Nikhil, suddenly pretended to be an 'angry gorilla.'
He leapt over his desk to charge at Nihal and even commanded the contestant to slap himself. Later Nikhi proceeded to slap him as well, shouting about "passion and intensity."
