Sharing her journey, the Indo-Morrocco-Canadian actress-model recently shared how she came to India with just Rs 5000 in her pocket, stayed with nine psychopaths and survived on bread and eggs.
Nora Fatehi's Struggle Story
In an interview with Mashable India, Nora Fatehi who is basking in the success of her recently released movie Madgaon Express, shared about her struggle days in Mumbai and called the entire experience "traumatising".
She said she came to Mumbai with just Rs 5000 in her pocket. "I lived with nine psychopaths in a three BHK apartment where I shared the room with two other girls. During my stay there, I used to think, ¡®What have I got myself into?¡¯ I am still traumatised." The agency she had signed would deduct her salary in the name of commission and she had to survive on a diet of eggs and bread, she added.
Nora Fatehi had earlier revealed she was bullied in Bollywood during her initial days because of evil people.
She said that when she came to India she would that she "would go to my auditions in that limo". However, "It was nothing like that. I had the biggest slap in my face. The bullying, the rejection, the traumatic experience that I went through".

She continued, "If someone had told me that these are all the things I was going to go through -- 'You're going to meet evil people, they're going to steal your passport, you're going to get deported, you're going to go back to Canada and people are going to laugh at you. How do you go from a developed country to a developing country? You're going to go back to India, you're going to fight, learn the language, and you're going to meet people who are going to laugh at you on the way, they're going to laugh in your face'."
She also revealed that directors and producers used to make fun of her during the auditions.

"They would start laughing together, high-fiving each other," she said, thinking to herself, "How f****g dare you, wait till I leave. Don't do it in front of my face," she said this in an interview with Dubai-based YouTuber Anas Bukhash.
