Paras Kalnawat Calls Working On Anupamaa 'Dark & Shady' Experience, Says His Scenes Were Cut

Paras Kalnawat, who was recently ousted from the popular TV show Anupamaa, has opened up about his experience being a part of the show. The actor, who was known for playing the character of Anupamaa's son Samar on the TV serial said that it was a ¡®dark and shady¡¯ experience for him.

Dropping major hints about how he was mistreated on the sets of Anupamaa, Paras Kalnawat aka onscreen Samar revealed that a senior actor spoke against him and he was pushed to a corner on the set. While he didn't share a lot of information, he did open up about being shown in bad light.

¡°My scenes were cut. I was put in a bad light; people started falsely gossiping about me that I had threatened them and spoken certain things about them. As I said, I had not done that,¡± the actor told ETimes.

Paras also went on to reveal that if a senior actor complains about junior co-star, the former gains trust. Recalling what had happened with him on the show, Paras said that once he was called by the production team and was told to keep quiet about the incident.

"I was strictly told that I will never divulge it. Then I was asked if I had any proof and when I showed it to them, they made me delete those proofs. They said I should forget what wrong had been done to me. I let bygones be bygones, because I wanted to keep the show-politics away from me," he said.

Speaking of how he spent his time between the shots on the show's sets, he said that he started isolating himself in between the shots and preferred writing shayris.

"I sat down in a corner to write shayris. Whatever happened here with me hasn't happened ever with me anywhere.¡±

When asked if he hinted at his fallout with Rupali Ganguly, Paras said that there are indeed differences in their lives but he still respects her. "I think she still has a little bit of love left for me,¡± he said and added that he feels Rupali is more attached to her other co-stars on the show.

Anupamaa is currently one of the top rated shows on TV and it stars Rupali Ganguly in the titular lead role. Paras was eliminated from the daily soap after he signed a contract with a rival channel. The actor has joined Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa's upcoming season as a participant.

Moreover, Paras Kalnawat has confessed that he was so excited over the fact that he scored a part on the show, he did not go through the ¡®3-year exclusive clause¡¯ on his contract. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 10 is set to air on Colors while Anupamaa airs on Star Plus.
