Shah Rukh Khan compares Pathaan to Mission Impossible, says he has always wanted to do a cool action thriller movie. He also said that he was told he is liked only when he does heroic films.
From chanting his name to singing Badshah O Badshah, fans flew down from across the world for King Shah Rukh Khan's birthday. He was so overwhelmed that he came out to his balcony twice on a day to greet them, something that hasn't happened before. It was a day that fans all over the world celebrated with much enthusiasm.
On the occasion, the teaser of Shah Rukh Khan's forthcoming movie Pathaan was also released. As he attended a fan event on his birthday, the Badshah of Bollywood revealed why he chose Pathaan as his comeback film, after a hiatus of four years.

Shah Rukh Khan said he always wanted to do Mission Impossible-like movie.
"I was told that I am liked when I do heroic films, when I look physically good and can dance. I believe that when someone makes commercial films, we shouldn¡¯t add our own creativity to it, because we need to keep it simple, as it¡¯s made on someone else¡¯s orders," he was quoted as saying at the fan event organised on his birthday.
SRK always wanted to do a cool action movie.
"So I have to make a film that makes all of you happy, and all these three films (Pathaan, Dunki and Jawan) are what I¡¯ve never done before. I¡¯ve always wanted to do something like Mission Impossible, cool action film¡ªI think Pathaan is like that."
At the event, Shah Rukh Khan danced to his iconic song Chaiyya Chaiyya and also cut a cake with his fans.

Talking about Pathaan, director Siddharth Anand said, "Shah Rukh Khan, truly, has been ruling the hearts and minds of audiences for decades and Pathaan marks his return to the big screen after a gap of four long years. So, while we decided to surprise them all on his birthday, the pressure to deliver was immense".

The spy thriller which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham is slated to be released on Jan 25.
Apart from Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki which stars Taapsee Pannu alongside him and Atlee's Jawan.
