From children to women, a large crowd consisting of thousands of people gathered at Anaj Mandi near Moosa village where later singer Sidhu Moose Wala's Antim Ardas was held. The fans paid their last respect to the singer who was shot dead brutally on May 29, leaving everyone in shock. His fans have still not come to terms with the fact that their favourite singer is no more.

Sidhu Moose Wala's parents had recently met with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Shortly after meeting Moose Wala's parents at his home, Rahul Gandhi slammed the government over the law and order situation. "The law and order of the state has completely broken down. Maintaining peace and tranquility in Punjab is beyond the capability of the AAP government," he tweeted in Hindi.
Rahul Gandhi had also said, "It is difficult to describe the grief that the parents of Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala ji are going through ... It is our duty to get them justice, and we will do so."
Balkaur Singh had also met Home Minister Amit Shah in Chandigarh, following which rumours about him joining politics had started to float across.

In a video posted on Sidhu Moose Wala's account, Singh requested people not to believe those who are spreading false information that he is joining politics. He said that he has no intention to contest any election.
"I'm the father of Sidhu Moose Wala. I wanted to tell you a few things. I¡¯m very sad about what I¡¯m seeing on social media. There are different rumours that are going on, don't believe that. I lost my son recently. I have no intention of contesting any elections. Thank you for supporting me in these difficult times. I have a request for all of you. There is a prayer meeting on June 8, you come I will meet and answer your questions then. Currently, I am not in a state to talk much".
