'Crazy Wokes', Vivek Agnihotri Mocks Leena Manimekalai After She Says Goddess Kaali Is 'Queer'

Director Leena Manimekalai stirred a huge controversy after releasing the poster of her upcoming documentary film titled Kaali. The filmmaker has received massive backlash for her scandalous poster that shows a woman depicting Goddess Kaali while smoking a cigarette with a flag of the LGBT community in the background.
While many spoke against the filmmaker, Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri recently took a dig at the young and independent filmmaker over the ongoing Kaali poster row.

According to reports, the Kashmir Files director re-shared the interview of Leena Manimekalai to a publication and called her a crazy woke. In the video, the young filmmaker Leena Manimekalai defends her derogatory Kaali poster that has grabbed the attention of people across the country.
Taking to his Twitter account, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri reacted to one of the tweets shared by Leena Manimekalai in which she elaborately defends her infamous Kaali poster.
The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri lashed out at Leena Manimekalai for her controversial remarks wherein she claims Kaali a 'queer' and 'free spirit'. Adding a series of emojis to his retweet, Vivek Agnihotri wrote, "Can someone dismantle such crazy wokes? Please (sic)."

Moreover, in her Twitter post, the young filmmaker had shared bits from her film and also talked about it in detail. Meanwhile, multiple cases have been filed against filmmaker Leena Manimekalai in different states after the poster controversy erupted.
The young documentary filmmaker has been accused of promoting enmity between communities on grounds of religion, and hurting religious sentiments and intentionally insulting the Goddess with an intent to provoke breach of peace by releasing the objectionable poster released last week.

The filmmaker also responded to the multiple police cases filed against her amid the poster controversy and she also reacted to the backlash she received on social media.

Addressing the controversy that revolves around her film, Leena Manimekalai took to her social media account to issue a justification, but that only added made the situation worse.
¡°The film revolves around the events that take place one evening, when Kali appears and strolls the streets of Toronto. If you see the picture, don't put the hashtag 'arrest Leena manimekalai' and put the hashtag 'love you Leena manimekalai¡¯," she wrote.
