This happened on October 16, 2024, in Buenos Aires¡¯ CasaSur Palermo Hotel (Argentina). While authorities are busy interviewing five witnesses to know more, a preliminary autopsy report has arrived.
Rolling Stone reports a part of the autopsy as ¡°The circumstances of the case are being investigated as a 'questionable death¡¯¡±. The statement originally in Spanish further asserted, ¡°Although everything indicates that the musician was alone when the fall occurred, he was going through some type of outbreak from substance abuse.¡±
The central cause of death reasserted by the report remains - multiple traumas and internal and external haemorrhage.
As per Forensic experts, around 25 injuries were found in the autopsy and especially the head injuries were enough to be fatal. The ¡®internal and external bleeding¡¯ in the skull, chest, abdomen, and limbs also played a key role in his death. The histopathological, biochemical, and toxicological are yet to arrive for a better understanding.
However, the presence of narcotics and alcoholic beverages in initial investigations is already available in public knowledge. This angle of Liam¡¯s death first emerged after the manager of the hotel had made a 911 call informing that a star under the influence of drugs was destroying objects and furniture in their room.
The latest report also doubled down by The Guardian reasserts that there isn¡¯t any suspicion of foul play or third-party involvement as infamously assumed. Additionally, Payne¡¯s posture while landing on the ground clearly indicated that he "did not adopt a reflex posture to protect himself," as per the report posted by Rolling Stone.
