'Bro Made A Movie No One Remembers', Internet Slams James Cameron For Criticising MCU And DC
After Titanic director James Cameron criticizes the characters of MCU and DU, fans advise him to look at his own films first.
Hollywood Filmmaker James Cameron who is known for directing films like Avatar and Titanic has some not-so-good thoughts about the superhero films made particularly by Marvel Studios and DC Entertainment. Netizens aren¡¯t impressed with James' remarks like ¡®their characters act like they are in college¡¯ and ¡®that¡¯s not the way to make movies.¡¯
In a conversation with New York Times, James Cameron took his upcoming Avatar 2 in reference and criticized both franchises.
He said, ¡°I also want to do the thing that other people aren't doing. When I look at these big, spectacular films ¡ª I'm looking at you, Marvel and DC ¡ª it doesn't matter how old the characters are, they all act like they're in college.¡± In earlier social media callouts, some critics had already criticized both franchises for being too shallow, all styles and no substance.
The filmmaker had also confessed his disagreement with how Marvel and DC makers approached cinema. Talking about their films' characters, James said, ¡°They have relationships, but they really don't. They never hang up their spurs because of their kids. The things that really ground us and give us power, love, and a purpose? Those characters don't experience it, and I think that's not the way to make movies.¡±
The netizens didn¡¯t seem impressed with his ideology and lashed at him mercilessly. See some reactions here:

I love James Cameron, but the guy took over a decade to make a sequel to arguably his worst movie. The only reason it made so much money was the spectacle of the 3-D. Outside of that, it had paper thin characters and a rote story that's been done better before.
